The Junior Territory Manager is responsible for managing the relationship between Shell and Retailers at cluster/site level, ensuring delivery of Shells customer commitment and Sales & Operations targets, professional business coach and consultant representing the Shell brand in the highly exposed retail market.
The Junior Territory manager has additional responsibility as a support and back-up to Shell District Manager in respective region.
Identify Gaps in all aspects of site performance (including service and people) for geographical area and mandate, advice or offer Retailers Shell-recommended tools, processes and support to help them to profitably deliver the Customer Commitment at the Retail site and to develop the business for the mutual benefit of both the Retailer and Shell.
Deliver territory total fuels volume targets, differentiated fuels volume targets and cost targets.
Collaborate with colleagues across Retail to support Marketing and Network initiatives.
Protect Shell's interest by ensuring that all HSSE standards and procedural compliance are adhered to
Maximizing all sales development potential whilst protecting Shells interests, through the coaching and motivating of Retailers.
Participate in attraction and selection of the right Retailers for Company owned clusters.
Through coaching, supporting and performance management, ensure all Retailers have best sites and poor Retailer performance is eliminated.
Manage and maintain positive Retailer relationship to achieve and maintain top class site performance (including counseling to underperforming sites).
Deliver Sales and Operations targets for the Company platforms within a geographical area through regular reviews and appropriate action plans.
Ensure consistent delivery of customer commitment by managing contract compliance using the Territory Manager Site Review
Ensure that Retailers actions do not damage Shells Reputation.
Train and ensure staff understand the importance of people in delivering the Customer Commitment
Manage relationships with government services, local authorities and utility companies

Diploma or bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Management
Minimum 4years experience in Retail Management, Sales and Operations
Competence in implementing standard processes, achieving sales targets, building relationships, delivering
customer commitments and negotiating
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic and organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment
