Verizon Network Infrastructure Ph.D Intern in Walnut Creek, California

What you’ll be doing...

Locations: Walnut Creek, CA; Irvine, CA

You’ll be front and center, hands-on and contributing your creative energy, and the skills and experiences you’ve gained in your Ph.D program to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program. You'll learn from the best minds in the industry and improve your technical product management knowledge in an environment that’s dedicated to industry superiority.

In this role, you may have the opportunity to drive the 5G ecosystem and industry standards and help bring products to life. Additionally, provide network design and architecture that enables the lowest cost-per-bit and leadership in reliability and quality. Build the best 5G network and continue evolving the 4G LTE network

You’ll need to have:●Current enrollment in an Ph.D program with a concentration in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field with an expected completion date between December 2020 and June 2022.●Four or more years of work experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.●Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

Even better if you have:●Possess a very strong background in mathematics, communication theory, signal processing, and programming.●Experience working with large data sets to solve problems.●Experience with statistical tools and analytical tools like MATLAB, Octave, and others●Knowledge and experience from practical research work, such as earlier work on beamforming, detection, estimation, and massive MIMO are of merit.●Excellent writing and oral communication skills
