Thermo Fisher Scientific Sr Manager Finance in Waltham, Massachusetts
Provide financial support for the Thermo Fisher Scientific Global Business Services Financial Shared Services Initiative PMO & Migration team in addition to the overall shared services project aligned to Global Business Processes.
Partner with VP and multiple Global Process Owners to plan, forecast and report project costs
Work closely with external consultants and own financial modeling across corporate and Global Business Services
Ensure proper processes are in place to track savings for finance integration projects
Work closely across functions on restructuring, process improvement, and financial modeling
Produce quarterly reports and analysis regarding Shared Services financial results
Coordination, completion, and review of month end close process, post close reporting cycles
Preparation & presentation of Monthly/Quarterly results and Forecasts
Coordination, preparation and compilation of the Annual Operating Plan
Approvals of appropriation requests, SOWs, Invoices, personnel changes, etc
Other duties as assigned
Proficiency in the following areas: financial analysis and reporting, forecasting, internal control and technical accounting knowledge
The ability to identify and champion productivity improvements through Practical Process Improvement (PPI)
Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills, are required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to engage in communication at the executive level.
Proven history of working with cross functional teams as well as the ability to build organizational relationships with customers, peers and operating partners
Manage multiple assignments, have good judgment, and prioritize projects and time effectively
Excellent skills with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint are required; skills with Oracle, HFM, SAP, COGNOS and MS Access are preferred
