We are looking for talented and motivated candidates for the following position:
Consultant / Risk Consulting Department (Warsaw office)
As a senior level consulting position providing risk management solutions to meet client needs, the candidate will be directly responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the most complex clients providing them with comprehensive consulting services. They will also be cross-selling Marsh and Marsh Risk Consulting products and services when appropriate. We require deep knowledge of client's and insurance industries. The candidate should assume the team lead role on projects, providing counsel to less experienced consultants.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting on-site risk engineering surveys for existing and prospective Clients. Producing detailed risk engineering survey reports.
Consulting Clients on ways to control hazards, in order to reduce or prevent losses; looking for technically sound opportunities for improvement, in line with the client’s objectives; clearly articulating these opportunities in a report.
Assumes ownership of allocated surveys and assists in the follow-up of key improvement opportunities recommendations and ensures that risk engineering information database is up-to-date.
Maintains professional credibility and consistently demonstrates technical expertise and sound judgment.
Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of the assigned line(s) of business including process technology, loss prevention, construction and other related issues that may impact the risk decision making process for clients and underwriters. Is expected to actively pursue professional development in order to develop and maintain knowledge in the areas they are working in.
Serves as a resource for other consultants and account managers in various countries around the globe in development of the client relationships. Markets Marsh and Marsh Risk Consulting to clients to help sell services by identifying opportunities and clients’ need. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Education: Degree in civil, mechanical, chemical or industrial engineeringExperience: Minimum 5 years in industrial surroundings and/or business insurance exposure
Good English writing and speaking skills
Any other European language - French, Spanish or German – will be an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication (also good at negotiating)
Ability to maintain and develop relationships with Clients, brokers, insurance underwriters and colleagues
An investigative approach to gathering information needed
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail
Outstanding interpersonal skills; self-confidence and persuasive type of personality
Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization and with external clients
