Summary:

  • The Fraud Analyst II shall assist in obtaining documents and other information related to investigations and cases for the Security Exchange Commission (SEC).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs research to locate potential witnesses.

  • Conducts in-house, telephone and database research; manages case file.

  • Assists in the preparation of interim and final reports and recommendations.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Minimum four-year degree, Master’s degree, and/or certification(s) in a related labor category field from an accredited college, university, school or educational institution that has been accredited by accrediting bodies or organizations recognized by the US Department of Education

  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant technical experience.

  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification is preferred

  • Ability to provide favorable credit history

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Special knowledge and skill in litigation support, document analysis and/or accounting, preferred.

  • Experience in litigation support during trial, including courtroom

  • Experience in interviewing witnesses

  • Must be able to work effectively in an extremely pressured environment.

  • Must have and use excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft 2010 or newer programs.

  • Knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.

  • Knowledge of LexisNexis, Westlaw, CLEAR and any other database research tools.

  • Must have working knowledge of various public repositories of information.

  • Familiarity with investigative tools, public and private records databases, and fraud investigations helpful.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
