Chenega Professional & Technical Services (CPTS) is seeking a Solutions Architect for a Strategic Modernization Planning Support effort to mature a federal agency’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) program. Phases will maintain data standardization, sharing and reuse resulting in a firm foundation for an agile Architecture within a Cloud-hybrid Infrastructure environment and incorporation of innovative technologies with modernization techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that the solution delivery efforts and projects leverage all aspects of EA by EA layers, i.e. business, information and/or technology and via guidance at the enterprise solution architecture level across layers.
Consult with application or infrastructure development projects to harmonize systems or infrastructure with the enterprise solution architecture and identify when it is necessary to modify the solution architecture to accommodate project needs.
Ensure that all individual solution design and analysis work is documented in a structured fashion aligned to the EA framework and is stored in a common place.
Experience developing information technology software solutions and architectures in accordance with open standards and federal enterprise architectures.
Review requirement specifications and business process artifacts for proposed solution implementation.
Develop road maps describing the evolution of all enterprise solution portfolios from current state to future state.
Collaborate with various technology stakeholders, vendors, and other partners on technology discussions, implementations, and strategy.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology-related field.
5 years of experience in a technology environment and specialized knowledge in the areas of system design, engineering, and integration.
Experience with any of the following is preferred: Windows Servers, Solaris, HP-UX, RHEL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Informatica, Weblogic, IIS, Business Objects, Xcelsius, Info View (Reports), MS Share Point, .Net, IAAS, SAAS, PAAS.
Technology certifications a plus.
Possess a Public Trust clearance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong oral and written communication abilities, with strong conceptual and systems-thinking abilities and problem-solving skills.
High level of professionalism, diplomacy, and patience working with many key stakeholders.
Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
