Account Representative Marsh has an opportunity to join the organization as an Account Representative supporting the corporate commercial insurance division in Washington D.C. This position works closely with Account Executive’s and provides support to help clients coordinate solutions, manage accounts, obtain advice, administer programs and perform other duties as assigned. Partner with Account Manager to drive business and retention and improve the client experiences throughout the proposal and renewal process. Oversee the review of claims, contracts and audits, and follows up regarding endorsements, policy issuance, extensions and cancellations and escalates concerns to direct manager or client team, as appropriate. Ensure the success of the renewal cycle by ensuring renewal protocol is completed (via tools available), gathering information, tracking quotes and ensuring documents are issued correctly and on time in accordance with our professional standards. Oversee the maintenance of proper records for reporting and audit purposes and processes insurance and claims details into the database. Strengthen and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to provide best in class service and drive growth and retention. Respond directly to difficult client questions and requests, and solicits assistance from Account Manager as needed. Oversee the process of ensuring that all client information is collected, reviewed, updated and communicated to placement team for optimal program solutions and pricing. What you Need to Have: High School Diploma /GED 1+ years of Commercial Lines/Personal Lines insurance experience Property & Casualty licensed, or able and willing to obtain within 60 days of employment Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Must be organized and able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills What Makes You Stand Out? College graduate with 3 years of commercial insurance experience P & C license Advanced use of Excel to include formulas, Pivot Tables, etc. Keen attention to detail with a focus on accuracy Being a self-starter Previous client facing insurance experience Ability to maintain performance under strict deadlines and high pressure situations Marsh is a global leader in insurance broking and risk management.
