Fortune 100 information technology company seeks a Director, Political Programs to design and execute a scalable fundraising and employee engagement strategy from the ground up. Responsible for increasing receipts, the Director will lead all PAC-related fundraising efforts by developing and implementing a robust solicitation and communications campaign to build awareness, educate employees, and foster participation. The Director will plan and oversee PAC-fundraising and awareness events at company facilities nationwide and will also be responsible for PAC compliance, administration, and governance duties. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Government Affairs, the Director will collaborate across a diverse portfolio of company stakeholders to identify and lead engagement opportunities in support of PAC objectives. Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated success in PAC or party committee fundraising; experience taking innovative approaches to solicitation, donor recognition, and donor retention programs; understands the importance of the role to the success of the organization; is an enthusiastic and resilient project manager.
Minimum 6 years of experience and demonstrated success in PAC or party committee fundraising
Commitment to acting at all times with the highest integrity, including strict adherence to applicable laws and company values, which go beyond political compliance
Mastery of PAC software, including advanced reporting functions
Regular domestic travel
Superior interpersonal, analytical, written, and oral communication skills
Independent and strategic thinker with ability to prioritize, balance, and exceed expectations in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Detail-oriented, organized, and driven to follow-through and complete tasks independently
Interest in information technology
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Acts as an internal and external resource on international trade specifications, regulations, and legislation; that affect how, where, and to whom we conduct business.
Designs plans for government outreach by providing analysis of emerging or existing legislative public policy issues impacting the company. Gathers intelligence and assists in the preparation of position papers, policy briefings, presentations, and legislative testimony for pending legislative actions. Coordinates actions through strategic partners in government and industry communicating corporate positions and objectives. Projects may include implementation of public policy activities, government and industry lobbying efforts, advocating government funding initiatives and identifying new opportunities favorably advancing the company’s influence with the government.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Prefer eight years of related experience.
