CACI International Lead Systems Administrator in Washington, District Of Columbia
What You’ll Get to Do:
The Lead Systems Administrator within the CACI Data Analytics Lab is responsible the administration, engineering, and implementation of several mission critical applications.
Provision and deploy Linux or Windows software applications in a physical or virtual environment, monitor and maintain web application hosting systems to include web servers and various database servers, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and communications problems, as well as providing support for solving complex problems or new innovations.
Perform systems and database maintenance are key components of the work to include patching, security provisioning, performance optimization, monitoring, and suggesting improvements.
Support Analytics and Business Intelligence development and will focus on systems and databases needed in the analysis of mission critical data.
Provide technical expertise in installing and maintaining a multitude of mission critical applications.
Maintain web application hosting systems to include web servers, database servers, and associated development systems.
Administration, monitoring, and maintenance of virtual environments.
Provide technical guidance to management, the team, and the customer regarding the implementation of highly advanced technical solutions.
Troubleshoot to resolve hardware, software, and communications problems.
Collaborate across teams to quickly adapt to emerging and dependent technologies.
Continually interact with teams to design and implement innovative solutions that will provide key decision-making abilities.
Create, update, and maintain technical documentation including process diagrams, standard operating procedures, and system documentation as it relates to implementation, maintenance, and optimization.
Review performance and capacity planning reports and makes recommendations to management.
Propose and implement enhancements that will improve performance and reliability of existing web-based systems.
Deliver assignments by established deadlines. Keep management well-informed on a timely basis of progress, status and/or concerns for each assignment.
Assist with the design, development, implementation, maintenance and optimization of a variety of databases and systems to include designing logical and physical database structures, partitioning of tables, data loading and validation, all aspects of security, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Design and manage application and database migration activities.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Experience installing and maintaining a multitude of mission critical applications.
Experience maintaining system reliability and uptime of production applications.
Experience with deploying and maintaining physical and virtual environments.
Experience with all facets of systems administration supporting a variety of applications on Window and Linux servers.
Experience with developing scripts for automation of build-out, maintenance, and configuration of virtualized systems.
Experience with design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of a variety of highly complex databases (typically SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL) and security and access methods.
Strong knowledge of automated tools for database design and implementation.
Ability to embrace and lead technological change and development.
Experience with creating, updating, and maintaining technical documentation including process diagrams, standard operating procedures, and system documentation as it relates to implementation, maintenance, and optimization.
Experience with developing procedures relating to database and application security including procedures by which access is authorized, enabled, changed and withdrawn.
Implement, maintain and test Disaster Recovery methodology for production systems.
Experience with threshold forecasting, sizing, capacity planning, and trend analysis.
A DOJ MBI is required to begin employment. For this position, CACI has the ability to provide clearance sponsorship for qualified individuals.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 10 to 12 years of related experience.
Experience with ETL of large data sets using SSIS, Python, or Talend.
Experience with administering Tableau Server.
Experience with administering IBM I2 Enterprise Insight Analysis (EIA).
Experience with administering Nexidia.
Experience with litigation support or administering Litigation Support tools.
