IBM Microsoft Architect and Solution Leader in Washington, District Of Columbia


Your Role and Responsibilities

The Microsoft Architect and Solutioning Leader is responsible for solutioniong transformational business development opportunities within IBM’s Microsoft practice. Solutioning responsibilities include Pre-sales, proposal solutioning, orals, negotiations/sow, project ramp-up support, and project planning/re-planning. During the sales cycle the solutions leader will develop business value propositions, Phase 0 Planning projects, business cases, solution strategies, roadmaps and ultimately the proposal. The Solution leader must also be capable of presenting Implementation Strategies, Estimates and Commercial Structures in an orals setting. The role may require accountability for managing scope, issues/risks, timelines, financials and quality deliverables of engagements. The solutioner is expected to develop and maintain client relationships and to participate in business development activities. This individual will assist in the growth and development of IBM’s North American Microsoft practice and maintain deal focused relationships with external clients and IBM pursuit teams to scope, propose and close transformational Microsoft opportunities.

Candidates that live in or near one of the following cities preferred, but all candidates considered: Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco.




Required Professional and Technical Expertise

  • At least 5 years of experience with both Microsoft ERP and CRM

  • At least 10 years implementation experience with 1 or more Functional Areas delivering full life-cycle Microsoft Programs

  • At least 3 years experience with proposal development of at least 3 Microsoft proposals with one having a TCV over $10m

  • At least 2 years of experience managing the financials of a project

  • At least 2 years of experience managing the revenue of a project
