Job Description

The National Economic & Statistics (NES) practice within PwC's National Tax Services practice provides a broad range of economic, statistical, and modeling services. Members of this practice conduct statistical analysis and modeling and data analytics with a focus on providing services to the Federal, Healthcare, Retail & Consumer, Legal and Financial Services Sectors.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Years of Experience: 1

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics

Degree(s) Preferred: Master's degree or Doctorate in Economics

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates some knowledge of analytical statistical methodologies and its application to Tax-related services, including statistical sampling, statistical analyses and hypothesis testing (regression, survival analysis, and time series analysis) economic modeling, and data analytics.

Demonstrates some knowledge of and proficiency with programming in SAS or an equivalent statistical software package to conduct a broad range of Tax-related economic, statistical and modeling services.

Demonstrates some knowledge and/or a proven record of success conducting statistical analyses (regression, survival analysis, and time series analysis) and providing statistical consulting tax-related services across a broad spectrum of industry sectors.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates some ability to identify creative solutions to complex statistical, data and modeling issues and/or problems, including missing data issues, voluminous data sources, and disparate data sources.

Demonstrates some ability to conduct independent research and present information clearly, both written and orally.

Demonstrated some ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and meet deliverable completion deadlines.
