Marsh & McLennan NERA Events Coordinator in Washington, District Of Columbia

The Events Coordinator, r eporting to the Events Manager, will work closely with NERA’s international marketing team, consulting staff, and other NERA support functions to execute flawless events in support of the firm’s business development and marketing strategies. NERA seeks an energetic and highly collaborative individual with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to exceeding the expectations of both internal and external clients. Key responsibilities Provide tactical and logistical event support, while adhering to timelines, budget constraints, and brand guidelines. Adhere to best practices, policies, and workflow procedures to ensure the efficient and effective execution of all events. Create and maintain event registration websites and event apps using Cvent. Coordinate and assist with the production of on-site event deliverables, such as invite design, name badges, tent cards, signage, and printing CLE forms & surveys. Provide on-site event support. Work with Events Manager to finalize event venues, including site visits, price comparisons, vendor contracting, and other event-related needs (entertainment, food & beverage, accommodations, transportation etc.). Assist with travel logistics, including conducting flight analyses, and tracking confirmations and manifests. Identify and source branded giveaways; monitor inventory of NERA corporate gift store. Maintain department event listings on internal calendar(s) and tracking documents. Coordinate technology and A/V needs with presenters and venues. Research venues and suppliers and prepare destination comparisons with pricing. Maintain accurate electronic files, including invoices, contracts, post-event reports, final materials, etc. Work with organizations that approve professional education credits for course accreditation. Uses the firm’s CRM system to run reports, manage lists, and track RSVPs, attendance, follow-up, etc. Conduct post-event reporting and analysis, including compiling program feedback, sharing post-event recap with team, budget reconciliation, and CRM updates. Skills and Attributes: Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, business or related area. Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant marketing experience preferably in a professional services and/or law firm environment. Knowledge of core seminar/event planning principles required. Flexibility to adjust work schedule for occasional evening and multi-day events. Demonstrated capabilities to handle tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and the ability to find creative solutions. Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Salesforce and Cvent experience strongly preferred. Must have excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills. Proactive and positive approach. Exercises confidentiality and discretion.
