Our Distribution Business Unit in Europe consists of a distributor and dealer support network. This is an exciting opportunity in Wellingborough for a HSE Regional Coordinator

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

You will be required to Perform routine functions related to a site's environmental permit requirements and safety requirements, HSE objectives and targets, and the overall Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS).

Routine functions may include the gathering of emissions and discharge data, incidents and accidents, visual site inspections, sampling wastewater discharges, maintaining waste accumulation areas, labeling waste containers, and other related duties, as directed by the site HSE Supervisor or HSE Manager.

To assists with the application of engineering and administrative controls to reduce the environmental impacts associated with site operations and to control safety risks.

Act as a Support the collection of site HSE KPIs for use at the site, BU and Corporate levels.

Act as a support to implement and maintain of the site HSEMS, control of significant aspects and risks and achievement of HSE objectives/targets.

Supports regulatory compliance efforts and other programs applicable at the site including storm water management, employee training, recordkeeping/reporting, and other associated HSE programs at a facility.

Monitor the day-to-day operations associated with pollution prevention, waste management, air quality, water quality and related programs.

To assists with internal and external HSE audits; resolves basic issues identified in audits; updates HSEMS documentation


Skills and Experience Required:

Fundamentals of Health and Safety - comprehensive knowledge of occupational health & safety. Detailed understanding of general industry standards and the requirements of the more frequently referenced standards.

Occupational Health & Safety Management System - An Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management system provides a framework for managing OHS responsibilities so they become more efficient and more integrated into overall business operations

Risk Management - involves health & safety management principles and system safety engineering techniques.

Multi-site management experience desirable (this role will include covering 6 Cummins locations within the UK)

Field service / service industry experience desirable (working remotely with a number of offsite Technicians)

In addition to HSE responsibilities the position will also have responsibilities for management, internal communication to ensure knowledge and compliance with local HSE legislation

Considering this is a regional role - amount of travel expected is more than 40%.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

Degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific field required.

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent required

IMEA or NEBOSH Environmental Certificatedesirable

TECHIOSH- Desirable

Compensation and Benefits

£26,160 - £32,700 (dependent on experience)

Cummins annual bonus of 8% (dependent on company’s performance)
