Oracle Staff Information Security Analyst, Incident Management in Westchester, Illinois

Assists in executing security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs.

Assists in researching attempted efforts to compromise security protocols.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Ability to travel as necessary. Preferred 2 years relevant experience and BA/BS degree.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND POSITION GOAL

PrincipalInformation Security Analyst is a senior level individual that reports to the Director,Global Information Security Incident Management or other manager as assigned. The incumbent assists in managing Oracle scorporate incident management program, oversight of incident managementactivities throughout Oracle, and personally manages critical informationsecurity incidents as the commander for the effort. In addition, the incumbent will be asked toprovide information security advice and guidance to business units withinOracle, as well as training of the incident response teams specific to theprocess of incident management, critical incident response, and the Oracleincident handling process. The incumbentis expected to deal at an organizational level up to the senior director.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ TASKS

Assistin management and coordination of Oracle s corporate incident managementprogram, including hands on coordination of highly critical incidents. This involves managing conference calls andengaging technical responders, as well as documenting actions and managingmetrics related to incident response. Requires ability to work in an on-call basis for the duration of theincident

Managescritical incidents through all phases of the incident management life-cycle

Participatesin design of incident management standards

Contributesto the evolution of corporate policies and incident response strategy

Managesregistration of incidents and accumulation of statistics and/or metrics relatedto incident management

Managesproduction of incident reports

Workdirectly with Legal and Executive teams for management of critical incidents

Assistwith design and approval of customer-facing security related communications

Assist otherGIS staff on specific projects and incidents as required

Perform specialsecurity projects on an ad hoc basis

Assist indevelopment of incident response capabilities, training, and tool validation

Evaluate anddevelop training for the maturation of incident response teams

Perform otherduties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications:

University degree from an accredited college oruniversity, or equivalent certifications

Experience ininformation security and technical aspects

3 years experience as a network analyst or systemsadministrator

Ability to project credibility and confidence at alllevels of the organization.

Strong technical experience, including Windows, Linux/Unixand networking

Knowledge of incident management standards andprocesses.

Strongorganizational skills and detail-orientation essential

Strongpresentation, written and verbal communication skills

Ability to workas a strong, self-motivated individual on a high-pressure team

Ability todocument and transfer knowledge and cross-train peers

Additional preferredqualifications:

3 years experience within the security department of a large corporation or government

1 years experience as an incident responder

1 years supervisory management or leadership role

2 years security or infrastructure operations, preferably demonstrating strong experiencewith leading tactical or emergency efforts

Proven abilityto work in a remote/self-motivated capacity

Located withinGMT -5 through GMT -12 Time zone

Strongknowledge of Oracle systems and software

Experience withlegislative and/or regulatory compliance audits

Experience withproblem solving and troubleshooting complex issues with an emphasis on rootcause analysis

Knowledge ofendpoint and system management solutions, especially those focused on securitycontrols

Familiaritywith project management and/or solution architecture frameworks

Practicalfamiliarity with one or more of the following:

web development and the supportinginfrastructure architecture

cloud technology, hostvirtualization and operating-system level virtualization

software engineering models such aswaterfall and agile and also associated methodologies and practices such asDevOps, Scrum, CI, CD
