About the Role

We currently have an enviable opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our high performing Cummins team. Reporting to the Cummins Central Region HR Leader, you will work autonomously to provide the full breadth of HR generalist support across a number of Cummins Distribution branches in NSW, the ACT and NZ. Primarily supporting a blue collar environment, this role is fast paced and dynamic and provides the opportunity to partner closely with the business to drive outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Business partnering with Distribution operations

  • Ongoing coaching and advice to leaders on people matters

  • Support leaders to promote a positive employee relations culture

  • Provide Award interpretation and coach leaders on its application

  • Ensure consistent compliance with legislative requirements and adherence with Human Resources policies and processes

  • Provide recruitment and selection support

  • Evaluate organisational design effectiveness including organisational structure and job design

  • Provide and interpret HR data analytics to diagnose business conditions and make recommendations

  • Conduct investigations of varying nature and complexity

  • Lead performance management processes and initiatives contributing to a high-performance culture

  • Support employee development planning and processes

  • Lead training needs assessments and activities

  • Ensure all HR calendar activities are executed effectively (eg. salary and performance reviews, talent reviews etc)

  • Participate in HR functional excellence projects and continuous improvement

About You

  • Be tertiary qualified with HR generalist experience in a blue collar/ operations environment- experience within manufacturing, automotive or mining industries is advantageous

  • Customer focused with the ability to build rapport quickly with key stakeholders

  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to adhering to and promoting safe work practices

  • Exceptional written and verbal communicative skills
