Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

The Credit and PPNR Modeling (CaPM) center of excellence of Wells Fargo is seeking an addition of a Credit Risk Analytics Consultant (CRAC) 3 to our stellar analytics team at our Frederick, MD; McLean, VA; Wilmington, DE; or Charlotte, NC

Our CRAC3 is responsible for performing the most complex activities related to business analysis and/or modeling.

Duties may include, but not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain and evaluate the WFHL PD/LGD/EAD modeling inventory data and deliver the data mining supports to detect and remediate the data issues and gaps between existing practices and corporate /regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with modelers and provide the cross-functional supports to conduct the quantitative analysis to address the issue and concerns regarding the relevant model aspects that are raised by CFMO/CMoR or regulators for WFHL First Basel Models. Support the modelers to document the findings and conclusions.

  • Examine and evaluate PD/LGD/EAD Basel Models Ongoing Monitoring Reports and provide analytical expertise and quantitative efforts during the assessment.

  • Oversee the model governance and compliance and document the key control of risk management process for WFHL Basel Models.

  • Supporting model development, implementation testing, and models back-testing

  • Supporting Home Lending retail Basel credit risk models annual reviews, and ad hoc performance reports/analysis for senior management;

  • Develop complex programming models to extract data and/or manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to business partners.

  • Guiding and supporting model development documentation and ad hoc analysis

  • Writing and maintaining Compliance Rationale Documentation that explains how the Basel models and business processes comply with Basel II and Basel III requirements for Home Lending credit

  • Maintaining and updating current document and archive process

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of risk reporting experience, risk analytics experience, or a combination of both

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
