You will work in a production environment assisting in the manufacturing of various components used in railway, ranging from wheel, axle or bearing production, track maintenance and car/locomotive repair. The successful applicant must be mechanically inclined.

Dependant on your qualifications you can be placed in a Mechanical Support role or a Labourer role.



  • Operate moving equipment, forklift, overhead cranes, grinding and fitting, heating, bending, fastening, use of hand tools and measuring devices.


  • Must possess a minimum of a High School Diploma;

  • Previous experience with metal working machine operation and experience working in the heavy metal industry is preferred.



  • Mopping

  • Dry mop/sweeping

  • Refill soap and paper towel dispensers

  • Clean sinks

  • Clean mirrors

  • Wipe down tops of lockers

  • Wipe down lunchroom tables and benches, counters

  • Clean toilets and urinals

  • Clean showers

  • Empty garbages and change bags

  • Operating forklift

  • Pressure wash and clean Maintenance bay & shop floor


  • Must have a High School Diploma or General Equivalence Diploma;

  • Experience working with/around heavy equipment;

  • Must be able to work within strict established safety and work guidelines/rules to complete job;

  • Will be required to have/obtain all CP certification pertaining to specific tasks and assignments;

  • CP operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; must be able to work on various shifts and days off;

  • Must be bilingual (English and French).
