Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Landscape Architect for immediate employment in the Winnipeg, Manitoba office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Assisting business development pursuits, including proposal preparation
Participating in complex projects at a variety of scopes and scales
Joining project teams, with both AECOM and sub-consultant resources; collaborating with other disciplines and clients to deliver exceptional products on time and within budget
Understanding and summarizing project requirements, including preparing design programs, and communicating with clients
Investigating and analyzing sites
Developing master plans including preparation and evaluation of schematic design options
Preparing well-organized and thoughtful designs, and using CADD and Sketch-up or other illustrative programs
Completing project briefs, specifications and cost estimates
Undertaking outreach and public engagement programs, particularly providing graphic design support
Undertaking construction contract administration, including site visits during construction
Liaising with clients and other consultants, and visiting sites as needed to support project delivery and business development
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or an academic equivalent, including Landscape Architectural Technology
2+ years of increasingly responsible related experience
Member, or be eligible for membership in the Manitoba Association of Landscape Architects
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and CADD is essential, familiarity with Project Manager, GIS programs and Sketch-up or similar programs would be an asset
IAP2 and LEED credentials, or interest in obtaining such, would be a definite asset
Good knowledge of Manitoba plant materials and environments
Preferred Qualifications
Written and graphic samples submitted with application preferred
Experience with SketchUp, Revit, Rhino and AutoCAD
