The role of Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management Senior Project Manager is responsible for high quality, on time and on budget delivery of high profile, large scale complex property projects within a dedicated business function. They will manage a portfolio of concurrent projects balancing the needs of the organization against available resources including use of external developers where required ensuring full visibility of all current and pipeline projects with timely decisions and accountability. They will be responsible for the development and delivery of projects throughout the full project lifecycle in accordance with the Zurich Project Management Framework (ZPMF) guidelines ensuring the stakeholders are full informed at all stages of development. To ensure legal compliance and conformance to local planning laws. Interfaces with CRE-PM/TM team to ensure timely and accurate development and approval of project funding documents (PAD).
Essential Job Functions
Develop/create and manage project budget ensuring that resources are spent in the most effective way. Develop/create and manage Project Schedule and deliverables from the RFS(Request for Services) stage to final Project Close-Out Deliver all projects in accordance with ZPMF and industry standards Delivery of projects to agreed cost, time and quality parameters Management of all third party contractors and compliance to all legal and regulatory directives Manage and report on the portfolio of property projects ensuring full engagement of sponsors and stakeholders Compliance with all governance including setting up and chairing project boards All projects correctly sanctioned and funded and align with the Real Estate strategy Project and portfolio reporting in place and regularly issued Develops project specific Effective Risk and issue management process and plans and proactively manages and owns All project changes are evaluated and sanctioned through formal change control Full financial sanction in place with detailed and robust financial tracking and reporting Stakeholders are fully engaged and appraised at all stages of development Interface with key stakeholders to instill a customer centric experience thru communication <(>&<)> collaboration. Present updates and frame issues to the Project Steering Committees Identification and Escalation of any issues if and when required Modify to Project specific requirements and Manage the extensive Change Management Process Be the CRE Champion in the roll-out of the Dynamic Working initiative Projects closed with project closure reports finalized with sponsor sign off Physical property handover in line with agreed procedures Resolution of post property handover issues and snagging Protection and visible management of Zurich reputation during construction Contribute to the annual financial planning cycle
Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Design or Architecture.
10 years’ related experience – Experience in managing Building/Construction Projects Professional experience in architecture, construction, renovation, planning, and vendor/service provider mgmt. Experience in managing virtual teams to high level results
