AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Outreach Coordinator for immediate employment in the Pottsville, PA area. This is a part-time variable position, meaning work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.
In this position, you will be a member of the Outreach Team on our Commuter Services of PA project, which manages the travel demand management (TDM) programs for thirteen counties across south central and northeast Pennsylvania. This position has specific emphasis on Schuylkill, Carbon, Monroe and Pike Counties in northeast Pennsylvania. As an Outreach Coordinator you will promote transportation options to the single occupancy vehicle by helping to host events at employer worksites and delivering individualized commuter marketing support and services, with the goal of improving traffic congestion and air quality in the NEPA region of Pennsylvania.
The Outreach Coordinator performs a range of transportation demand management, marketing, and promotional projects, aimed at enhancing opportunities for individual travelers, commuters, and/or students to utilize non-drive alone means of transportation, including carpooling, vanpooling, public transit, bicycling, walking, teleworking, and other options.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assists outreach team with promoting and implementing commute options programs at employer sites
Conducts events at worksites throughout the counties of Schuylkill, Carbon, Monroe and Pike Counties, including promotion prior to the event and follow up afterwards
Possesses knowledge and awareness of business and social entities in the four counties of emphasis
Promotes and assists in the administration of regional marketing programs
Conducts outbound calls to commuters for the purpose of tracking placement in rideshare arrangements
Attends local networking and public meetings
Interacts with employer representatives, human resources staff, state and local transportation officials, and elected officials
Conducts presentations for stakeholders, employers and commuters
Data entry of commuter statistics into rideshare computer software
Works closely with individual commuters to facilitate an increase in more cost effective and clean commuting modes
Measures clean commuting at worksites, according to program procedures
Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, Education, Public health or, demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience
3+ years of experience
Must have excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills and experience in handling multiple tasks in an organized and efficient manner
Proven track record meeting job performance metrics
Ability to achieve objectives through teamwork
Field office work will require reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a good driving record
Some heavy lifting (<30 lbs) may be require
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test
