Job Summary

Amentum is immediately hiring a qualified MH-60R Aircraft Plane Captain in support of U.S Navy Aircraft maintenance operations at NAS Mayport, FL. Additionally, Workers do the following tasks:

•Direct and manage work center personnel tasking.
•Oversee the maintaining of programs, policies and qualifications utilized within the work center.
•Manage paper and electronic filing systems, maintain publications, documents, training records, and maintenance action forms.
•Conduct audits, monitors, and inspections on programs, personnel, and work centers.
•Direct incoming and outgoing aircraft using hand or light signals, and secures aircraft in parking position with chocks and tie downs
•Flight line servicing, operates service vehicles to replenish fuel and oil, perform pre-flight and post-flight maintenance inspections .
•Enters description on the maintenance records of the servicing performed.
•Checks for fuel contamination by draining sumps and fuel drains .
•Operates ground support equipment such as electrical power supply, tow tractors, and engine starting units, examines tires for specified air pressure and condition.
•Assists in towing aircraft and cleans exterior and interior of aircraft, hanger deck periodic housekeeping and fluid spills using portable platform ladders, brushes, rags, water hose, cleaning compound applicator and mobile vacuum
•Work is performed primarily outdoors under all types of weather conditions with exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes


Minimum Requirements

•High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
•5 years O-level aircraft system maintenance experience, with 5 years inspector experience (CDI, CDQAR). Ability to obtain CDQAR within 60 days from start date
•Knowledgable of COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series programs
•Familiarity with wide range of tools and equipment associated with support of aviation maintenance efforts.
•Basic knowledge of US Navy tool control policy and procedure to include storage layout, locator systems, and proper material handling procedures.
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
•Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
•Will be required to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check as well as favorable fingerprints in EQIP to maintain possession of a CAC card.
•Should be a self-motivator and work with minimum supervision.
Must have completed military aviation maintenance training or maintenance technical school curriculum or possess an FAA issued A&P license.


Preferred Qualifications

Prior military aviation experience on MH-60R aircraft highly preferred.
