What you'll be doing...

Keep our motors running!

You'll have the chance to work on all types and sizes of vehicles, in addition to mobile tools and equipment. Grow your experience and gain valuable skills as you learn how to keep our fleet vehicles running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing maintenance operations including washing, lubricating, oil and filter changing, light bulb, tires and battery replacement to all types of motor vehicles and special equipment in the Verizon fleet.
  • Making repairs, mechanical adjustments, and replacing parts on all company associated equipment.
  • Using computer test equipment to diagnose vehicle problems.
  • Interfacing with vehicle users regarding repairs, questions, etc.
  • Obtaining and maintaining all required certificates or licenses.
  • Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts based on the needs of the business.
  • Work tour hours are 4am to 12:30pm, Monday through Friday (hours may vary). Overtime is as needed by the business.

What we're looking for...

You are looking to kick start your career in the automotive industry and put your knowledge and skills to work for the Verizon Team. You like to learn and continuously develop your skills in order to maximize your capabilities. You have a passion for the automotive field and for doing work that helps drive our business forward!

You'll need to have:
  • Automotive certification from a technical/vocational school and/or 1 or more years' of verifiable work experience as a Mechanic within the past 5 years.
  • Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • CDL or Commercial Learner's Permit.
