What you’ll be doing...

Verizon is looking for a Manager of Marketing Investment to join our Marketing Transformation team within the Chief Marketing Organization (CMO). The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing and/or investor relations with experience managing an investment narrative for executive audiences. The Manager will report to the Director of Marketing Transformation within the Media and Marketing Effectiveness organization, and will partner with senior management across the CMO group and FP&A.
This role will own and contribute to the creation of executive-level presentations for executive leadership, tracking of media/marketing competitor trends, and other marketing/financial related analysis as directed by leadership.

  • Leading the annual CMO budgeting process (operating and capital) with Senior Leadership and FP&A, and coordinates regularly with FP&A throughout the year to monitor performance against plan.
  • Leading the creation of Executive Group Review materials (five x per year) to provide updates on CMO performance and budget requirements in close partnership with Senior Leadership.
  • Tracking and analyzing Verizon’s position in the competitive landscape in partnership with the Media & Engagement team and the Agency of Record (including forecasting competitive trends).
  • Supporting CMO leadership in providing accurate and timely responses to inquiries from Executive Leadership on budget performance and efficiencies.
  • Performing ad hoc financial analysis around KPIs, etc. as necessary to support senior management.
  • Provideing general project support for Transformation initiatives within the team as needed.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience in Digital Marketing, Media, Advertising, or Investor Relations.
  • Experience in agency and/or Corporate Marketing managing large advertising budgets.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting concepts to manage an operating and capital budget.
  • Experience in data Analysis/Visualization tools for deck writing (e.g., Think-Cell).
  • Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to summarize complex information into highly effective visuals and narrative for executive audiences.
  • Ability to be organized, a self-starter with good attention to detail and able to manage multiple on going projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to approach with business partners (partnering, influencing and motivating).
  • Ability to work effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic, complex, and fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to conduct industry benchmarking and trend analysis.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to learn new tasks.
  • Experience in PowerPoint / Google Slides and Excel.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $125,000 and $232,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
