Do it here.What youll be doing...This opportunity is for Military personnel who are current participants of Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 2-2021.As the Manager of Inventory Planning you will be a member of a team responsible for implementing an end-to-end sparing process for our Radio Access Network (RAN). This includes maintaining and planning spares across the network footprint to ensure network reliability. You will interpret equipment forecasts for maintenance related equipment demand and utilize them to create reorder points for forward stocking locations while using and improve existing tools and databases to enable automatic gathering of data to ensure adequate inventory supply. You will partner with cross functional teams on spares management strategy and create effective strategies to increase service levels and optimize inventory and costs. You will lead the development and the implementation of new business processes for network spares.Identify optimal managed product mix and appropriate program structure to effectively manage the needs of the business.In the event of capacity shortfalls, manage response and recovery with the vendor, supply planning, repair, and engineering teams.Develop reporting to better track, trace, and utilize inventory and partner with IT to develop automation in these processes.Drive vendor performance and equipment delivery compliance; determine and lead remediation actions to address non-compliance matters.Develop recommendations for process improvement ideas to create efficiencies in the overall analysis and management of the planning process to include system enhancements and taking into consideration input and output variables.Manage End-of-Life / Discontinuance activities, including inventory obsolescence and working with engineering to assign replacement items.Minimize inventory levels to values that ensure the most efficient use of spares. Investigate and put into play opportunities to utilize excess equipment to reduce overall inventory values and spend.Partner with engineering and investment recovery teams on decommissioning and excess equipment harvesting.Analyze forecast needs for inventory, purchasing, and engineering systems to improve visibility across the business.Drive data validation and forecast results, as well as other KPIs.Data Mining in large databases to locate information related to inventory optimization.Use Visualization to communicate trends and issues.Create automated and streamlined solutions for inventory management.Support cross-functional and cross-organizational programs related to spare inventory strategies.Continually improve processes to reduce inventory levels and minimize customer down time.Perform detailed data analysis to identify specific areas for improvement; create base case, benchmarks and KPIs for processes.Define requirements for RFI and RFP for different areas within the business.What were looking for...Must be a current participant of Hiring our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program Cohort 2-2021.You'll need to have:+ Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.+ Six or more years of relevant work experience.+ Experience with Supply Chain, Project Management, or equipment life cycle planning.+ Willingness to travel.Even better if you have:+ A degree or Masters degree in Supply Chain.+ Six Sigma Green Belt.+ Knowledge of procurement and inventory systems and processes within SAP, CATS, PeopleSoft, and Baxter Prophet.+ Adept in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio for executive level presentations.+ Five or more years of supply chain, supply/demand planning experience.+ Experience with demand and supply planning systems integration and implementation.+ Experience managing multiple vendor programs simultaneously.+ Experience with continuous improvement and process mapping.+ Experience driving IT changes for improvement.+ Adept in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio for executive level presentations.+ Demonstrated transformational discipline, communication effectiveness and exceptional program management skill sets.+ Ability to prioritize effectively with multiple clients and projects, tight deadlines and take actions using self-directed management skills.+ Skilled at data manipulation and mining.Equal Employment OpportunityWe're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
