Do it here.What youll be doing...The Business Excellence (BE) team helps Verizon business units solve key business challenges. As an Engagement Manager you will lead cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate transformational opportunities. You will leverage your client relationship management and consulting skills to drive change in a rapidly evolving business environment.In this role you will be directly responsible for our clients satisfaction and for the success of the engagement. Through thought leadership and business acumen you will ensure that we exceed expectations and deliver the greatest value possible to our clients. You will work side by side with a group of talented consultants from various disciplines who are committed to driving key initiatives forward and position Verizon for future growth. All of this while you will play a key role in key business decisions and gain exposure to senior executives from multiple parts of the business. As a sought after business partner and truth-teller, you will maintain an open mind and keep an eye on the horizon for emerging business models and technological innovations that can be leveraged by Verizon.+ Lead transformational initiatives with cross-functional teams from multiple business units.+ Develop trusted advisor relationships with internal clients.+ Develop strong partnerships with every team you interface or collaborate with.+ Create multi-year waste reduction and/or revenue growth strategies.+ Prepare engagement proposals to present for approval to our senior clients.+ Identify obstacles and roadblocks and proactively develop approaches to overcome them.+ Develop frameworks and approaches to achieve project deliverables.+ Foster collaboration and teamwork.+ Build a factbase leveraging internal and external data.+ Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses.+ Build best practices share with the BE organization.+ Promote the use of internal best practices (lean six sigma, design thinking, agile).+ Assist with the documentation of Verizons end to end processes in an effort to illuminate waste reduction and/or revenue growth opportunities.+ Leverage change management best practices to mitigate resistance.What were looking for...Youll need to have:+ Bachelors degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or four or more years of work experience.+ Six or more years of relevant work experience.Even better if you have:+ MBA or advanced degree.+ Outstanding quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills.+ Excellent attention to details.+ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize key insights from analyses in presentations and written communications to key clients.+ Proven record of successfully managing client relationships.+ Strong empathy skills combined with self-awareness and maturity.+ Ability to work independently with a high degree of comfort working in an unstructured and ambiguous environment.+ Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking and/or Agile certification.+ Experience with Change Management best practices.+ Project management experience and/or certification.+ Track record of handling extremely confidential information appropriately.+ Facilitation, training and coaching expertise.+ Experience with a tier 1 management consulting organization.+ Proven record of contributing to multiple simultaneous projects.+ Experience with zero based budgeting and zero based design.Equal Employment OpportunityWe're proud to be an equal opportunity employer - and celebrate our employees' differences, including race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, and Veteran status.
