Emergency Response Manager

Job Summary

Amentum has a great opportunity for an Emergency Response Manager supporting our program in Alice Springs, Australia. The Emergency Response Manager will be accountable to the Senior Security Manager for the direction and administration of the Emergency Management Program, the development and maintenance of the Installation Emergency Management Plan, and for all other associated plans and procedures. The successful candidate will develop emergency management activities, applying specialized knowledge of emergency preparedness and situational response.

Responsibilities include:

• Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status
• Develop and update emergency management documents, to include: hazard analysis, emergency action guide, installation emergency management plan, Annexes, Hazards Threat Assessment exercises, documents, and pandemic planning
• Liaison with Australian municipalities, state, federal, and other emergency management organizations
• Maintain the emergency action room
• Lead the Emergency Preparedness Committee, who produces various emergency management documentation
• Coordinate and liaison with Site’s Incident Management Team; instruct staff on emergency preparedness procedures

• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a TS clearance with a poly or possess a TS clearance with the ability to obtain a poly
• Relevant experience in Emergency Management, Fire Operations, Business, Engineering, or other Incident Command System (ICS) position
• Experience in hazards identification & screening, consequence assessment, and drill & exercise
• Experience with developing management plans and preparing reports

• Knowledge with Australian Work Health Safety Acts and STS Regulations
• Knowledge of the Australasian Inter-Service Incident Management System
• BA/BS in a related field, with 5+ Years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience or minimum of 10 years’ experience in disaster and emergency planning
• Previous experience of working in a Base Operations Support Environment
• Experience with or a working knowledge of Australian Environmental codes and regulations
