Work You'll Do

The Alumni Relations Manager collaborates with the Alumni Relations Leader, team members, and key stakeholders (Marketplace Managing Partners, Lead Client Service Partners, Business & Industry Leaders, Client Relationship Executives, and Marketing) to design and implement programs that align with Deloitte's growth goals and support the alumni community. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Support business development at Advantaged Client Portfolio and Managing Partner Portfolio accounts through alumni events that enable account teams to position Deloitte top of mind for potential project work. Design event strategy and manage in person and/or virtual events, including concept development, event logistics management, program oversight, budget management, and post-event wrap-up.
  • Oversee leveraged teams across the firm to achieve desired outcomes including Meeting & Event Services, CMG USI resources, USI alumni team, Marketing SMPs, Creative Services, admin support, as well as external vendors such as Choose2Rent, Taylor communications, etc.
  • Manage budgets for regional alumni programs; measure and track KPIs (attendance numbers/attendance of ACP account alumni) to evaluate efficacy of alumni programming and adjust as necessary.
  • Team with Alumni Relations data lead and CMG USI analytics resources to provide insight about the alumni population to internal stakeholders; evaluate alumni programs.
  • Create new and fresh ways to engage alumni in programming such as market segmentation, social media outreach and opportunities, branded materials, dynamic speakers and eminence opportunities to build a holistic experiential program for our colleagues for life.
  • Serve as the voice and point of contact for colleagues for life program to provide customer service to alumni at all levels and partner with them as a referral source of marketplace jobs and Deloitte jobs for potential boomerangs, to expand their connections within the alumni network, update contact information and troubleshoot technology issues.
  • Collaborate with CMG teams to serve as an additional channel to market existing events to our alumni base to increase attendance and engagement at marketplace, industry and business events.
  • Contribute to the development of resources to enable local teams to reach out to alumni that don't meet the threshold or strategy for national alumni team oversight
  • Oversee the alumni rehire and referral programs. Periodically evaluate program effectiveness, review and revise external communications, validate processes and troubleshoot questions from alumni and internal professionals.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Deloitte Open Talent to confirm recruiting targets. Contribute to design of sourcing reports to align with business priorities. Work with Talent Acquisition technology and reporting team to evaluate and modify rehire program tools (i.e., update Avature).

Qualifications

Required:
  • 7+ years of experience working with business leaders (Office Managing Partners, Account Lead Business Partners, Business Leaders) on client relationship and business development strategies.
  • Successful performance in a matrixed environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while consistently delivering high quality results.
  • Demonstrated skills in account management, project management, marketing, data analysis, business, or a related field.
  • Proactive, detail oriented, flexible, and able to multi-task. Strong organizational skills, including task management and budget oversight.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a virtual team (US + USI) and with multiple stakeholder teams.
  • Executive presence, strong written and verbal communication skills and a positive demeanor
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of Salesforce database a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree required. MBA a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to working in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Travel up to 10% (While 10% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.
