Global Digital Claims Rules Developer (Red Hat Decision Manager/Drools)
About the opportunity:
We are looking for a strong rules automation developer to join Chubb’s digital program to lead some of the forward-looking user experience solutions/automation being built. This role will be 50% hands on development with 50% Lead responsibilities. This individual will be partnering with architects and technical leads from other functional areas to design and build best in class solutions.
The development team uses Agile methodologies where all roles collaborate with one another to complete each story. This means communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills are a must for this position. The ideal candidate will also have a combination of strong technical and leadership skills.
Position Summary / Responsibilities:
- Create and manage business rules to support configurable and data-based decisions
- Assist business with interpreting and designing rules requirements
- Manage and maintain the rules schema attributes
- Participate and contribute in design discussions
- Create automation frameworks and write automation scripts existing manual processes
- Debug and resolve any challenges with the applications
- Involvement in full development life cycle. Design, Coding, test, build, QA, deployment and maintenance
- Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Influence/encourage team to build solutions with quality and confined to architecture
- Work with business partners to understand functional requirements and translate into consumable technical stories
- Collaboratively work with teams across to ensure delivery
