What you will do-

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic sourcing activities in varied commodities, with the goal of obtaining the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. You will be tasked with developing and implementing strategies and projects related to cost reduction initiatives, new product development, supply base optimization and rationalization, quality improvements, risk assessments, manufacturing transfer and contract negotiations. You will help to create, negotiate, monitor, and enforce contract strategies for suppliers and drive implementation of supplier strategy, which will include spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, sourcing selection, financial and make versus buy analyses.

Your ability to work within Sourcing to build strong, effective partnerships with internal teams and suppliers will enable you to solve problems through a consultative approach, ensure reliability and quality in our products and contribute to continuous product and process improvement in line with producing industry leading product innovations.

What you need-

• Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain Management in Medical/Pharma Manufacturing Business, Engineering or other relevant area of study is preferred.

• Knowledge in chemical procurement, with an understanding of quality assurance and regulatory requirements desired

• 6 years of experience in supply management or manufacturing operations or related field with focus on strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier development

• Project management experience and/or PMP certification is a plus

• Demonstrated efficient work methods and an ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, project management experience desired

• The personality and willingness to embrace change, switch gears and jump into projects and exercises where needed

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence across various levels; must be able to diplomatically persuade others and effectively drive change

• Strong drive, persistence, results orientation, and ability to sustain high energy

• Medical device, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry experience

• Excel spreadsheets, basic formulas, and pivot tables highly preferred
