Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a Sr. Contracts Manager with an active TS clearance to work in our Chantilly, Virginia office. This position will report to the Vice President of Contracts and be responsible for adherence to contract policies, procedures, methods, operating practices, and functional performance standards. Direct the implementation of efficient and effective contract administration processes for the management of contracts and assigned areas of responsibility. The Sr. Contracts Manager will be responsible for full-cycle contract administration responsibilities, which at a minimum, includes oversight of detailed financial/funding requirements of multi-CLIN contracts, RFP/RFQ analysis, proposal preparation review/support, negotiations, post-award contract set-up and administration, close collaboration with subcontracts/procurement/finance/ program management, etc., and support for contract closeouts, all in accordance with company policies and customer/contract specifications.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure staff is adequately trained; coordinate workloads, priorities, and schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of work; and monitor and evaluate staff performance
  • Participate in business development initiatives including negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TAs). Supports development of proposals including contract and business information, small business subcontracting plans, and cost volumes
  • Review RFIs, RFQs, and RFP's to identify and mitigate risk, and ensure compliance with all required terms and conditions as well as Amentum policies and procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Agency Supplements, related federal and state legislation and regulations
  • Drive the implementation of contract policies, processes, and procedures to ensure achievement of corporate expectations
  • Provide leadership, oversight, direction, and guidance of compliance awareness with contract and regulatory requirements as well as Amentum policies and procedures
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with internal/external customers
  • Provide strategic support regarding disputes (e.g., Claims/REAs)
  • Ensure that compliance issues and concerns are appropriately evaluated, investigated, reported, and resolved
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Must possess an Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Demonstrated Management/Supervisory Experience of mid-sized contracts and subcontracts teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external customers
  • Ability to work quickly and independently with minimum supervision
