What you’ll be doing...

Our digital team is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to help strengthen our brand and drive new sales of our enterprise products and services. You will play a lead in managing the delivery of thought leadership content at scale. This content will ladder up to a cohesive content marketing strategy to capture interest in search and attract new visitors to our website and ultimately move them down the funnel through the strategic use of content. Through a laser focus on search engine optimization, and merchandising the content through social media, demand generation initiatives and showcasing on the website, you’ll drive traffic to this content and build awareness and credibility with our visitors which will lead to engagement among potential business customers. Partnering with our vendor and agencies, along with our critical internal stakeholders, you’ll help shape strategy and implement programs that drive results for the business. Your efforts will put our market leading technology into the hands of business customers seeking guidance in this era of digital transformation.

  • Accountable for delivery of content to drive traffic, engagement, leads and brand awareness, ensuring the content aligns to content marketing strategy, will resonate in search, gives Verizon a credible voice in the market, and aligns to the priority of the business.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders (product marketing, integrated marketing, search, legal) and partners (vendors, agencies) to deliver upon an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan.
  • Shape editorial requirements and governance; including SEO best practices, content categorization/structure, content development, distribution and measurement.
  • Grow visitor/customer base by providing them with regular, helpful content that’s aligned with their needs and interests.
  • Responsible for measurement and optimization of content produced on a regular and ongoing basis.
  • Integrate content programs with brand campaigns to drive brand to demand.
  • Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to owned properties.

You’ll need to have:

  • This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in B2B digital content marketing.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s degree, even better if you have an MBA.
  • Proven capabilities and strength in writing and editing, content marketing.
  • Proven ability to review and analyze various reports to measure success, with a focus on SEO (analyzing results to uncover content opportunities).
  • Experience working in an Enterprise organization to support a content plan through the lens of search engine optimization, social media, demand generation, with a keen eye on what conversation we should be having with the customer/prospect.
  • Experience managing content projects, including challenging, negotiating, compromising with other teams (internal stakeholders, legal, external partners – vendors, agencies)
  • In-depth understanding and experience with social media marketing, including experience writing and editing social posts, developing social media strategies.
  • Experience in both strategy and execution relative to internal social media employee advocacy platforms and external social media handles.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels of the business and to various stakeholder groups, both in writing and verbally.
  • Experience building and delivering presentations to senior managers and executives.
