What you’ll be doing...

The Manager – Contract Management will play an essential role in helping Verizon Connect secure new contracts, maintain existing relationships, increase revenue, and provide a positive customer experience. You will contribute to the success of Verizon Connect’s Sales team by providing contract and business support for customers of all sizes, with particular emphasis on medium, mid-market, and large enterprise customers. In this role you will be responsible for a wide range of contract and customer relationship activities.

  • Negotiating directly with customers to reach agreement on contractual terms.
  • Reviewing contract changes proposed by customers and suggesting responses using internal materials as a guide.
  • Generating initial drafts of contracts and amendments that are legally sound and comply with Verizon Connect’s policies and practices.
  • Reviewing and providing input on customer request for proposal documents.
  • Collaborating closely with internal Verizon Connect stakeholders including sales, product management, finance, and attorneys who support Verizon Connect customers.
  • Participating on cross-functional teams to resolve contract disputes.
  • Supporting ongoing initiatives and contributing new ideas to meet compliance requirements, improve processes and enhance systems.

What we’re looking for...

You must have the ability to interpret contract terms, exercise sound business and legal judgment, and interact effectively across functions and with senior management. We are looking for a confident, versatile self-starter who is able to work independently, complete tasks with competing priorities, and keep up-to-date on Verizon Connect’s expanding product portfolio and the systems used for contracting and customer support, while maintaining excellent working relationships with customers and internal sales and finance clients, legal colleagues and other stakeholders.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and developing responses to proposals in support of distribution, sales or procurement clients.
  • Project management and organizational skills to closely manage multiple transactions and process a high volume of work in a timely and accurate manner with a high attention to detail.
  • This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master’s Certificate in Contract Management, Law Degree or Paralegal certificate.
  • Relevant and recent experience in a similar work environment such as a fast paced in-house corporate legal department or law firm.
  • Relevant and recent experience with SaaS or Connected Vehicle/Telematics services, products and technology.
  • Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google’s G-Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal and external groups simultaneously to quickly achieve common goals.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with personnel in various roles and levels across the organization.
