SWRMC CMO Assistant Database Manager
Job Summary
Amentum is actively seeking a Contractor Management Oversight (CMO) Assistant Database Manager to work in Code 205 at SWRMC. The position will be located at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Serve as data-collection liaison between project management, project codes, and technical codes during CNO, Depot, I-level and O-level availabilities for ships
- Evaluate information regarding availability plans, progress, integrated test plans, integrated test schedules and other test related documentation from the NSA project manager or other NSA representative
- Support SWRMC Chief Engineer to analyze data and metrics to identify risk and recommend risk mitigations in the CMO function overseeing major maintenance availabilities
- Manage current computer software evaluation tools and develop new tools as needs evolve to identify risk given maintenance planning data; Data and tools will be used to accurately predict key dates and Project Certification Dates for ship availabilities
- Review and evaluate proposed maintenance schedules in light of actual work performed versus scheduled work, and to identify root causes of risks posed to schedules
- Work under a Senior Systems Engineer as a protege for electronic tool maintenance and development
- Collaborate with other NAVSEA organizations to standardize data-keeping, data storage, and develop common tools to be used across the NAVSEA enterprise
- Brief senior SWRMC and other NAVSEA leadership to facilitate continuous improvement of on-time, on-cost, and quality maintenance completion
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 10 years of job-related (ship maintenance, operations, or shipbuilding, maintenance planning, assessments) experience or equivalent
- Must have experience with program applications either through college, past work, or educational/certification programs
- Excellent communications, attitude, and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
- Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a SECRET security clearance
- Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) prior to start date - clearance will follow
- U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
- Ideal candidate is a qualified SWRMC Project Support Engineer or Integrated Test Engineer with programming capabilities in VBA
- Prior Navy maintenance management experience at the shipyard, RMC or above level
