Job Summary
Nuclear Waste Partnership (NWP), an LLC of Amentum, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Site Project Manager to join our National TRU Program Central Characterization Program (CCP) team located in Carlsbad, NM.
The successful candidate will serve as a Site Project Manager (SPM), as detailed in the WIPP Hazardous Waste Facility Permit (HWFP), for the Central Characterization Program (CCP). The SPM is responsible for data validation and verification to ensure Transuranic (TRU) waste destined for WIPP meets the requirements of the WIPP Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC). Additionally the SPM will be proficient at procedure/document generation and reviews, identification and disposition of non-conformances, scheduling and performance tracking. The SPM will interface with regulatory agencies including but not limited to the DOE, EPA, NMED.
NWP Exempt Salary Grade (31 – 36)
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors of Science degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience/Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications is mandatory.
- Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be US Citizens.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of RCRA Laws and Regulations is preferred.
- Knowledge of the WIPP HWFP and/or the WIPP WAC is desired.
- Preference given to candidates with previous work experience at DOE sites.
- Previous WIPP Project or CCP experience is a plus.
