What you will do

As the Sr. Project Manager, you will provide overall project direction as related to schedule, cost, performance, and resources for managing project for current products. You will be responsible for team dynamics and making sure the team optimally organized. In this role, you will develop strong relationships with team members and mentor less expereinced members of the PMO.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Monitor and control project plans including: Scope, Schedule / GANTT chart / Burndowns / Task Lists, Business Case / Capital Equipment Request, Risk / Resources / Budget

  • Develop functional specifications that fully define project and product including cost and performance criteria.

  • Develop and direct project team members. Periodically provide progress report to other functional areas of the company affected by the project.

  • Manage key stakeholders and provide appropriate communication.

What you need

  • B.S. in engineering or related technical discipline

  • 6+ years of experience required.

  • 4-8 years of experience running projects preferred.

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills

  • Demonstrated technical problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead/facilitate cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational and technical knowledge

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, track and facilitate projects using applicable tools (Gantt, Burndowns, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to justify, procure and implement major capital equipment programs

  • Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet database)

Hybrid Role: You will need to live within commuting distance to our Cary, IL office. You will need to be in the office 3-4 days a week, but you will have the flexibility to work from home on the other days.
