Amentum wants a senior-level Senior Program Manager with Experience, Passion, and Purpose to provide program management support to the Submarine Industrial Base Office under the Program Executive Office for Strategic Submarine Sustainment. This is a high visibility job within the Undersea Enterprise with constant customer interface requirements.

  • Employee will be part of a dynamic Submarine Industrial Base (SIB) team overseeing a complex and comprehensive portfolio that crosses numerous submarine and Navy stakeholders.
  • This is a high energy position, closely involved in managing the Submarine Industrial Base that is building and sustaining America’s submarines.
  • You will use your knowledge of high skill technical trades to address a wide variety of interrelated subjects including workforce capacity, risk mitigation, and skills recruiting and training activities.
  • You will advise senior DoD/Navy leaders on technology, defense markets, industrial base risk and mitigation, priority investments, and best practices/benchmarks across industry and academia.
  • You will develop new methods, processes, and procedures to measure program results and effectiveness.
  • As a manager, you may have supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree in a technical discipline complimented by further academic work or an advanced degree, and through demonstrated experience in progressively more responsible management positions totaling 8 or more years.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and extensive experience multi-tasking, prioritizing tasks, and providing guidance on priorities and objectives are required.
  • Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Knowledge of various computer skills required (ex: Excel, Word, Power-Point, etc.).
  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background or understanding of Department of Labor and Department of Education.
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate with industry, academia, and federal/state/local government officials around workforce, trade skills, and demand signal.
  • Ability to articulate workforce needs in terms of other program management priorities like cost, schedule, and performance.
  • DoD or DoD-related experience, especially in Navy program offices with knowledge of Navy and Naval Sea Systems Command stakeholders and organization.
  • Existing DoD security clearance.
