What you’ll be doing...

As a Manager of Digital Process Optimization, you will be on the forefront of improving operational efficiency and quality for a high-volume, high-velocity digital organization. You will leverage a combination of Process, Project, Digital Product Management, and Technical skills to ensure flawless execution within Verizon’s Consumer ecosystem. Included in the role are root cause analysis and troubleshooting as well as developing and executing strategies to minimize future risk and increase overall operational effectiveness.

  • Identify and help implement cross-functional process enhancements to increase productivity, quality, change tolerance, and communication with globally dispersed team members and stakeholders. This will include process mapping, documentation, modelling, requirements, and project management of implementation.
  • Identify and help implement platform and system enhancements to improve operational efficiency, stability, and scalability, including issue identification, requirements, stakeholder alignment, and implementation support.
  • Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail.
  • Track and report on opportunity pipelines and operational metrics.
  • Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
  • Initiateopen and candid coaching conversations at all levels.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience improving complex, mission critical, multi stakeholder processes.
  • Experience working in an agile / scrum development environment.

Even better if you have:

  • Solid Project Management fundamentals including task identification, project planning, issue tracking, status management, and team facilitation.
  • Experience partnering across multiple business, engineering, and product teams.
  • Highly proactive, responsive, reliable, and relentless in the pursuit of resolving short term issues, and longer term solutions.
  • Problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Verbal, written, interpersonal, leadership, diplomacy, and persuasion skills.
  • Strong Experience in business process analysis and optimization.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and under pressure of very stringent deadlines.
  • Experience with storytelling and presentation skills to all levels of an organization using decks.
  • Ability to create documentation and process flow diagrams, etc. to aid stakeholders with understanding the process, expectations and program structure.
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple/simultaneous, highly complex, cross-functional projects/initiatives.
  • Display initiative and resourcefulness in achieving goals but also comfortable brainstorming and sharing ideas in a team environment.
  • Extensive experience working in an onshore/offshore matrixed organization.
  • Experience with Google G-Suite.
  • Experience working in JIRA and Confluence.
