We are currently seeking a System Test Manager (Robotics) located in Weston, Florida

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Responsible for managing and leading the System Test team

  • Responsible for mentoring and for further building the System test development team and competencies with personnel.

  • Responsible for ensuring product system requirements are complete, correct, unambiguous, verifiable by working with development team to develop, review and approve them.

  • Responsible for maintaining and driving improvements in new product development, as well as verification processes and practices

  • Develop strategic direction and goals for the System Test team and provide clear and timely progress updates.

  • Manage a team of R&D personnel for various systems and processes. Be able to select, develop, inspire, and engage talent in alignment with competency development plans and business goals.

  • Develop plans and timelines for team delivery, review and approve project and test plans

  • Maintain budget and accountability to accuracy of projections.

  • Build strong relationships, collaborate, and influence others on cross functional teams advancing partnerships to achieve business objectives. Maintain and nurture a diverse team culture of inclusion and collaboration.

  • Hold self and others accountable to deliver high quality results with passion, energy, and drive to meet business priorities.

  • Be able to work through ambiguity or unplanned issues to achieve business results

  • Develop strategy to coordinate with mechanical, electrical, software and system engineers to integrate features and deliver tested product

  • Develop expert knowledge within the team of regulatory standards applicable to medical device and software development life cycle: 21 CFR part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 62304.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the clinical application of MAKO’s product line for all team members. Understand clinical issues and system design to deliver product improvements that add value to the patient, surgeons and hospital.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field

  • Minimum of (8+) years experience in System Testing, System Engineering, System Integration and Test or related experience

  • Demonstrated experience in the following: system testing methods, system test plan development, system test strategies, analyzing test data, statistics, sample size analysis, test method development and validation

  • Minimum (3+) years management experience in goal setting, coaching and counseling

  • Demonstrated experience leading a system testing team, estimating work, meeting quality and timeline expectations

  • Demonstrated experience in development and testing in medical device or regulated industry

  • Experience using MATLAB and SolidWorks
