Work you'll do

  • Support development of State Medicaid Health IT Plan
  • Develop HIE Landscape Assessment Executive Summary, documenting findings from interviews with other State Medicaid Agencies and their Health Information Exchange Organizations.
  • Guide team in identifying the key takeaways from interviews, including identifying gaps in adoption and utilization of Health Information Exchange services
  • Guide team in storyboarding and developing Executive Summary
  • Support development of briefing materials for leadership to report out on HIE Landscape Assessment findings
  • Lead visioning session with Medicaid leadership to discuss partnership opportunities with the statewide HIE
  • Support development of final narrative State Medicaid Health IT Plan, incorporating prioritized projects with the statewide HIE
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the State Medicaid Health IT Plan and Health IT Stakeholders, specifically focusing on the Statewide Health Information Network

Some areas that we focus on include Children Services, Eligibility & Enrollment, Child Support Enforcement, and Labor & Workforce Development.

Qualifications

Required:
  • 7 or more years of consulting/and or industry experience.
  • 3 years of experience in healthcare, state government, or related field
  • 2 years of experience with Health IT (including health information exchanges), within the last 5 years.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future


Preferred:

  • Knowledge of healthcare IT and government programs
  • Experience working for State or Federal government
  • Experience with health IT data format and transport standards including HL7, FHIR, RESTful APIs
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for data exchange and data management within the health care industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication, experience developing formal business and technical communications with attention to detail
  • Experience coordinating activities with external stakeholders
  • Experience with databases, writing and executing SQL; familiarity with ETL processes
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
