Health Information Exchange Technical Manager

Work you'll do
- Support development of State Medicaid Health IT Plan
- Develop HIE Landscape Assessment Executive Summary, documenting findings from interviews with other State Medicaid Agencies and their Health Information Exchange Organizations.
- Guide team in identifying the key takeaways from interviews, including identifying gaps in adoption and utilization of Health Information Exchange services
- Guide team in storyboarding and developing Executive Summary
- Support development of briefing materials for leadership to report out on HIE Landscape Assessment findings
- Lead visioning session with Medicaid leadership to discuss partnership opportunities with the statewide HIE
- Support development of final narrative State Medicaid Health IT Plan, incorporating prioritized projects with the statewide HIE
- Develop a detailed understanding of the State Medicaid Health IT Plan and Health IT Stakeholders, specifically focusing on the Statewide Health Information Network

Qualifications
Required:
- 7 or more years of consulting/and or industry experience.
- 3 years of experience in healthcare, state government, or related field
- 2 years of experience with Health IT (including health information exchanges), within the last 5 years.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Knowledge of healthcare IT and government programs
- Experience working for State or Federal government
- Experience with health IT data format and transport standards including HL7, FHIR, RESTful APIs
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for data exchange and data management within the health care industry
- Strong written and verbal communication, experience developing formal business and technical communications with attention to detail
- Experience coordinating activities with external stakeholders
- Experience with databases, writing and executing SQL; familiarity with ETL processes
- Bachelor's degree preferred
