The Senior Manager, Intra-Operative Sensors is responsible for product development activities to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential new product opportunities. In this role, you will build and develop strong engineering talent with focus on competence, customer, and succession.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of Business Unit strategy, working with cross divisional R&D, marketing, operations, quality assurance, regulatory assurance, and program management.

  • Determine immediate and long-term work plans for reporting groups; allocate resources for projects.

  • Serve the Program Management Office in the development of plans for new product releases and product updates, providing accurate labor estimates, communicating schedule dependencies, and advising on critical path analysis/optimization

  • Support and manage the transition from technology development through product development through manufacturing transfer, ensuring the capture and communication of risks at handoff

  • Managing multiple large and complex projects and adhering to time, cost and quality objectives.

  • Build and develop the team through the selection, recruitment and development of mechanical and systems engineers

  • Develop career progression paths & development plans for each of your team members. Establishment and monitoring of individual and team performance goals aligned to divisional, Business Unit and corporate strategy.

  • Lead the systems engineering and mechanical engineering teams

Education and Special Training Required

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar

  • Master's Degree preferred

Qualifications and Work Experience Required

  • 8+ years related engineering experience or equivalent

  • 3+ years direct people management experience

  • Demonstrated mechanical/electrical design and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated applied systems engineering principles in practice through full product development life cycle
