Technical Training Operations Manager

Job Summary

Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of Amentum, is seeking candidates for a rewarding career opportunity to support the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) and be part of the nation’s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste. We seek a Technical Training Operations Manager in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

The successful candidate will support the Manager of Technical Training and Procedures and will be organizationally accountable for the day-to-day functions, processes, and deliverables of the Technical Training and Training Support Organization. Will ensure that personnel assigned to the organization perform their duties and activities regarding training classes, training materials (e.g., courses, qualification cards, job performance measures), learning management system (LMS), eLearning, records, and proctoring. Will ensure organizational compliance with DOE Order 426.2, Personnel Selection, Training, Qualification, and Certification Requirements for DOE Nuclear Facilities. Will exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the company; which include safety, integrity, ownership, respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

NWP Exempt Salary Grade (34 – 36)

• Bachelor’s Degree plus six (6) years of related experience, or
• Associate’s degree plus ten (10) years of related experience, or
• High School Diploma or GED with fourteen (14) years of related experience is required.
• Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be US Citizens.

• The ideal candidate will have competencies in analysis, design, development, delivery, and testing as well as evaluation of training programs.
• In depth knowledge of DOE Order 426.2, Personnel Selection, Training, Qualification, and Certification Requirements for DOE Nuclear Facilities is preferred.
• Previous WIPP Project experience is a plus.
