What you’ll be doing...

The VBG Sales Automation organization is building new innovations for sales automation in the B360 Point of Sale and Quote generation platform. Advanced automation in Price Quotes, Proposal Generation and Quote to Order are key deliverables to increase sales representation efficiency, productivity and to enhance the customer experience in a highly competitive marketplace. Our winning strategy is to deliver a highly integrated customer first experience that is closely aligned to rep and customer journeys in the multiple channels and LOB’s where VBG meets the customer. We enable an intelligent, connected, customer centric ecosystem. We are passionate about designing and delivering new sales automation innovations that directly enable new efficiencies for our sales teams and delight customers.
You will help identify, create and deliver system enhancements to extend sales automation for front line VBG sales teams. You will need to be able to work with business and IT partners to create a quote strategy roadmap and execute on that roadmap. This includes creating user stories, working with the design team, partnering with internal developers & multiple vendors, managing projects through the agile system development lifecycle (SDLC) and holding others accountable to meet their deliverables. Oversee all project work in JIRA to create and manage user stories throughout the process, review deliverables from IT, and host calls with market teams to receive feedback and gain alignment on system strategy and roadmap. This role will be leading large projects and enhancements and will be responsible for engaging GTS, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Training, GTM, and others to ensure successful delivery and utilization in the field. You will work on complex problems, propose creative solutions, and push for the right solution not the convenient one. This process includes contributing to building the business case and measures that prove out the ROI/value of each project.

  • Drive innovation & optimization strategy for all aspects of Quoting.
  • Daily use and proficiency with JIRA/Confluence for all system projects.
  • Perform analysis and research in support of requirements definition.
  • Write and groom all user stories using agile practices.
  • Host value team and daily DTP calls for all projects.
  • Prepare documents such as: solution diagram, use case list, process flows, functional design, wireframes.
  • Finalize designs and confirm system requirements with all partners.
  • Recommend process and system improvements.

What we’re looking for...

We are looking for someone that has an in depth knowledge of agile software development methodologies as well as knowledge of the latest technology advances in Quote to Cash, UX/UI design fundaments and related components in the ecosystem. You have an advanced knowledge of VBG business sales processes, products and services and the full ecosystem of related applications as well as data analysis skills. You are a self-starter who requires little supervision, has an eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience delivering projects using agile methodology.
  • Experience creating and executing against a planned roadmap.
  • Experience with related B2B systems – especially B360 POS, Quote.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge and experience with agile methodologies and other common SDLC methods.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce/SaaS components and how they interact.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Technology.
  • A technical background with a deep understanding of core digital concepts, systems and architecture.
  • UI/UX Design experience.
  • Scrum Master certification.
  • Strong Paint/Photoshop, Visio/Lucidchart experience.
  • Experience with Business Sales in multiple sales channels and LOB’s.
  • Strong partnership skills to work with external agencies and multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with external vendors.
  • Understanding of Business solutions, customers, products and services.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to quickly understand various technology platforms and internal systems.
  • Self-starter that learns and adapts quickly to new systems and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast changing environment and influence without authority.
