Role Summary:

The IT Junior Business Analyst role will report into Chubb’s North America Personal Lines IT Team. The role will work with stakeholders across Business Units and IT that support Personal Lines business strategies, capabilities, and processes.

Participate in requirements gathering and definition and documentation for new products; enhancements and translate high level business requirements into functional features for the IT organization.

Participate in the investigation of issues and work with appropriate support teams (IT, Operational, Vendor) for resolution, and inform stakeholders of status.

Actively participate in status meetings, requirements gathering and design sessions, implementation planning sessions, and effectively multi-task across multiple projects concurrently.

Communicate appropriately with many levels, from processors to Operational management. Escalate problems and questions when needed.

Work across geographies, cultures, and time zones.

Responsibilities

  • With oversight, creates business requirements and documentation for personal insurance application deliverables based on business needs.

  • Continuously build and maintain an in-depth understanding of changing business processes, products, and technology. Use active listening to define business needs leveraging acquired knowledge.

  • With oversight, plan and/or assist in the planning of business analysis activities, including developing estimates for business analysis tasks. Accountable for managing to those estimates.
  • Actively participate in the elicitation of requirements using techniques such as interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures.
  • Document and assist in the analysis of business requirements while learning industry standard analysis techniques such as user story creation, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis and business rule definition.
  • Understand and learn to apply Corporate and Personal Lines IT standards for design and documentation into the recommended project artifacts.
  • Collaborate with the testing team to review and provide input on project test plans to ensure that the designed solutions accurately satisfy the business requirements.
  • Work with business partners to develop acceptance criteria and a plan to facilitate user acceptance testing to ensure that the solution meets the business requirements.

  • Manage individual workload and deliver to agreed upon milestones.

  • Demonstrate strong ability to work in a team environment and foster cross-team collaboration.
