Description: The Executive Director of WW Hematology Commercial–Business Development will be responsible for leading the Commercial BD team, working across the matrix team to deliver the BD strategy, and providing Commercial leadership across the Matrix. This team is responsible for assessing the commercial attractiveness of external opportunities for partnerships, licensing, and acquisitions. We are looking for a dynamic, performance-driven leader that must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization, with high expectations and accountability on quality of deliverables. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team
  • Develop Commercial Strategy for Hematology Business Development
  • Partner with BD and cross functional team to identify new opportunities consistent with franchise priorities
  • Represent commercial on due diligence efforts for identified opportunities
  • Provide commercial input into potential development paths based on unmet need, competitive intensity, and size of opportunity
  • Liaise directly with the Early Asset and Strategy Teams as well the Corporate Development Team
  • Develop narrative and lead preparation for key senior management reviews and presentations

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Access, Medical and Ops
  • Experience in direct team leadership as well as complex matrix team leadership
  • In-depth experience in US, other key markets and/or WW Commercialization desired
  • Experience in Hematology and partnering with Global Drug Development/Research & Early Development preferred
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills: effectively structures business problems; leverages data to identify insights and inform recommendations; leverages key matrix partners
  • Demonstrated success in mobilizing cross-functional matrix teams to drive optimal business results
  • Ability to prioritize work with autonomy, balance multiple major strategic initiatives simultaneously and drive results with speed
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including an ability to interact and communicate to senior level executives.
  • BA/BS required. Advanced degree strongly preferred
