What you’ll be doing...

Detection & Response Services is responsible for portfolio strategy, product management, and strategic evolution of the Verizon Business Group Detection & Response Services portfolio which combines best-in-class technology, highly skilled support people, and streamlined/automated processes to provide market-leading products and services to Business customers. The portfolio leverages commercially available and proprietary analytics tools that employ machine learning, statistical analysis, artificial intelligence, process automation and other advanced techniques to process millions of security events each day and deliver high-value security monitoring and management.

This Product Manager will join a team of talented, technical, security product owners who have responsibility for helping shape Verizon’s Managed Detection and Response (MDR) product – driving the success, evolution and viability of the products and services as measured in revenue targets, market perception and most importantly customer satisfaction. Built upon a Gartner Magic Quadrant-leading XDR Platform, the Design team drives the evolution of our MDR program through integrating key technologies such as Network Detection and Response (NDR), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Deception as a Service (DaaS), and streamlining operational processes through Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) to create an industry leading MDR Offering.

  • Translate portfolio vision and strategy into executable roadmap, with an end goal of creating scalable and sustainable technologies and services.
  • Provide thought leadership and market expertise to help define the direction of the product.
  • Translate technical, security subject matter experts requests into prioritized, engineering workloads.
  • Collaborate with Threat Researchers and Architects to implement relevant processes when operationalizing product features.
  • Deliver capabilities across teams and technologies, including cross product or platform capabilities.
  • Measure and report against data quality and product quality for the portfolio. Design and drive quality improvement programs when necessary.
  • Facilitate productive cross-portfolio and cross-functional relationships via effective and consistent communications across a global workforce and customer base.
  • Bring a customer first service mentality to Verizon Security Services and feature development.
  • Support Problem escalations as required with Sales and Customers.
  • Leverage market expertise to train marketing, solutions architects, engineering and operations groups on how to message, sell and deliver the product offering.

  • This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Seven or more years of product management or sales engineering experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings for enterprises.
  • Five or more years of experience with one or more of the following:
  • Cyber-Security solutions
  • Managed Security Service, SIEM Tools, NDR, EDR.
  • Experience in IT Security
  • Knowledge in SOC Operations
  • Five or more years of experience managing complex programs.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Network Architecture and Cloud Network Concepts.
  • Experience with basic computer networking concepts (e.g., DNS, internal vs external IPs)
  • Experience with security concerns pertaining to enterprise customers.
  • Experience in communicate strategy to a broad range of audiences from C-level to IT.
  • Experience to relate to customers and prospects and communicate their needs internally.
  • Experience delivering innovative, security product features with limited engineering resources.
  • Experience and ability to translate requirements from technical, security experts into value focused user stories for engineering development
