What you’ll be doing...

The Business Transformation Manager (BTM) will report to the Director of Business Transformation and work with the transformation office, business unit leaders and functional leaders at the highest levels within the organization.

  • Owning information architecture and creating visual reporting and analytics, including self-service dashboards.
  • Managing APIs and data interconnections for core functional systems such as Anaplan, OneJira, Yoda, Shibumi, and Clarity.
  • Serving as VBG owner of the Transformation Data System, at current Shibumi, to assist partnering organizations with data requests and troubleshooting. These responsibilities are in support of the wide variety of strategic, business as usual, and transformative projects aimed at achieving the strategic and financial objectives of VBG and preparing VBG for the future.
  • Engaging with stakeholders at the most senior level to capture the voice of the customer, and execute with short timelines with little direction or oversight. The BTM will not only get to frame the information architecture, roadmap, and strategy but will also lead the execution of those recommendations.
  • Managing of Capital & Program Management communications materials, including but not limited to Confluence site updates, VBG Annual Planning Materials, Sponsors’ Meeting Materials, and any ad-hoc materials needed to support the Transformation Office and/or Capital Management teams.
  • Developing work streams, including Financial Analysis, KPI development and forecasting of financial impacts of the proposed work streams.
  • Developing and implementing all aspects of VBG Data associated with Transformation and BAU programs and serves as a single point of contact for those projects - owning original concept through final implementation.
  • Leading conception, scope definition, and execution of various types of strategic and operational business transformation initiatives, ranging from Corporate and Operational Strategy to Process Improvement.
  • Providing proactive and engaged leadership on key projects designed to increase revenue, reduce expenses, enhance business efficiency, and improve customer experience.
  • Acting as an effective change agent utilizing proper stakeholder analysis and change management techniques.
  • Working with the Director of Business Transformation to provide effective leadership for the data management of Business as usual & Transformation initiative analysis and key insights.
  • Providing senior leadership and functional unit management with updates on project status, key metrics, issues, and risks.
  • Understanding and analyzing various drivers impacting key metrics and outcomes and provide a fact-based recommendation to the VBG stakeholders.
  • Serving as a liaison between business units on project analysis that have a multi-organization or business unit scope.
  • Leading annual capital planning, financial investment prioritization, and results analysis.
  • Driving Change Management process execution, process adherence, and contributory change thought leadership.
  • Conducting analyses needed to prove or disprove the hypotheses driving the project execution and expected outcomes.
  • Proactively anticipating and working towards mitigating risks to project execution or stakeholder engagement.
  • Producing, presenting, and propagating Capital & Program Management team communications to ensure business engagement, understanding and execution of the prioritized programs across the VBG Landscape.
  • Supporting others by providing just-in-time coaching on business transformation and process improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Comprehending and adhering to internal/external legal, regulatory and compliance requirements and controls.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related technical discipline or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of FP&A or accounting.
  • Experience with or certification in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience with data architecture and developing roadmaps.
  • Experience in the development and measurements of KPI’s.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • An MBA or advanced university degree.
  • Experience working in a tier-1 management consulting organization.
  • Experience in telecom or related technology industries.
  • Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
  • Proven record for managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and within budget.
  • Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to conduct outside/inside research, analyze data, and demonstrate proficiency with Google Sheets/MS Excel/Looker/Qlick effectively to develop models and drive analyses.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to create presentations using Google Suite, MS Office products and experience presenting to all levels of an organization.
  • The ability to focus on strategy, operational processes, and the customer experience.
  • Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced team leader with proven facilitation, change management, and problem solving experience.
  • Comfort in working up and across the organization – working with senior staff members and front line employees.
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward.
