What you’ll be doing...

The Verizon Business Group (VBG) Operations Manager is a highly motivated, self-directed individual committed to achieving business results and contributing to the organization’s success. You will be the Point of Contact for governance requests, activities and actions for the Group. This position reports to the Verizon Business Group Chief of Staff.

  • Translate content into visually appealing formats, primarily via Powerpoint and Google Slides.
  • A typical day for a Business Operations manager includes creativity, decision-making, prioritizing, negotiating, trouble-shooting, problem-solving, expectations setting and due-diligence.
  • Distill, communicate and present complex information in an easily digestible format (Powerpoint).

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • PMP or other project management certification.
  • Experience in program and project management.
  • Project management experience as you will be involved in several projects at a time that may not coincide with one another.
  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Experience presenting and creating slide decks/presentations.
  • Written and verbal communications to clearly and regularly communicate status, issues and risks to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint presentation and excel spreadsheet development.
  • Ability to participate at executive meetings and present to senior leaders.
  • Experience managing/working with large cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to quickly resolve complex problems and identify, develop and quantify any required corrective action to keep program schedules on track.
  • Business Operations, budget and/or capital planning experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
