What you’ll be doing...

In this position, you will have the opportunity to help shape solutions that grow and improve our business through the development of its leaders. You understand the industry we’re in, our business strategy and where Verizon is going, where leadership capability needs are headed and you know what resonates with adult learners. You lead with a collaborative approach, working with internal and external partners to bring world-class, high-impact learning solutions that develop our pipeline of leaders as a competitive advantage for the future of Verizon.

  • Collaborating with partners to determine learning needs and the best delivery approach.
  • Building innovative learning solutions for top talent and executive development.
  • Handling projects to build effective leadership development solutions on time and on budget.
  • Evaluating program efficiency and continuously improving our solutions.
  • Providing regular updates to senior leadership on progress and results achieved.
  • Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify needs and monitor the effectiveness of learning solutions and/or programs.
  • This position has high visibility to executive leadership and will be responsible to share progress reports and ultimately results – especially focused on Impact/ROI.

**This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.**

** This position can be located in other valid Verizon corporate office domestic locations.**

You gain satisfaction from leading projects to meet key learning objectives and then seeing the impact of strong learning programs on the performance of the business.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Instructional Design experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, design and delivery of leadership development solutions.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for full body of work – from idea generation to follow through
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects
  • Prior experience with leadership development.
  • Prior experience with talent management.
  • Demonstrated experience of building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Ability to solve complex problems using expertise in learning and development, company processes, procedures and business knowledge.
  • Collaborated with HR professionals and their business clients.
  • Led projects effectively balancing timeliness and quality in a fast-paced environment.
