Lead, Business Program Specialist (Global Mobility Special Projects & Governance)

The US Global (USG) Global Mobility organization (Deloitte LLP) is responsible for the global mobility strategic and operational support to the US Firms' leaders and businesses, including end-to-end advisory support for all US and US India deployment types (US / US India inbound and outbound assignments and cross-border engagement deployments).

US Global Mobility leadership is seeking a Lead, Global Mobility Special Projects & Governance for special projects related to execution, communication, and governance activities.

This role reports to the GM Strategy and Evolution Lead, Senior Manager.

Work you'll do

As a Lead on the US Global team, you'll support end-to-end execution and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives, as well as maintenance and monitoring of governance program materials for US and USI Global Mobility teams / function and processes. Examples of your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Working under the direction of GM Strategy and Evolution Lead to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for US and USI Global Mobility teams / function and processes
  • Assisting with coordination of feedback channels from Global Mobility teams (e.g., Business Advisory, Employee Experience, Operations, Policy and Planning, etc.) to support identification of new projects or programs and / or improvement areas across productivity, quality, relationships, and customer experience
  • Assisting with audits of US / USI Global Mobility process and governance documents, as well as tracking of progress for updates
  • With direction from GM Strategy and Evolution Lead you may also:
  • Support projects linked to Global Mobility strategic initiatives
  • Execute on strategy / process to transition "project" work to "business as usual" team
  • Track success metrics for transition and monitoring results
  • Support benchmarking to external organizations, processes, and procedures to ideate continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitor governance of relevant project / program materials to keep current with expectations / changing processes
  • Work with appropriate teams in Global Mobility to make sure websites and SharePoint sites are refreshed with updated project / program materials
  • Using project management processes, procedures, tools, etc. adopted by Special Projects & Governance team for consistent execution across all initiatives
  • Escalating complex issues to GM Strategy and Evolution Lead, as required
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the team's approach, processes, procedures, and tools and sharing with GM Strategy and Evolution Lead
  • Receiving day-to-day coaching, oversight, and issue resolution from GM Strategy and Evolution Lead. Engaging in performance management and development conversations and opportunities with GM Strategy and Evolution Lead
  • Completing other duties as assigned, related to other requested Strategy or Operations activities (e.g., support for build or maintenance of program tools, Strategy decks, communications, etc.)
  • Engaging with other support team members from US and USI Global Mobility for execution of activities and monitoring work as necessary

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of directly related experience working with different internal/external clients and stakeholder groups
  • Limited travel (due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred:
  • Masters Degree
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including creation of presentations or communications for executive-level audiences
  • Self-driven, proactive communication style, with strong stakeholder management and relationship building abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Excel, and Visio
  • Results oriented, able to balance supporting multiple initiatives while working primarily in a virtual team
  • An understanding or working knowledge of one or more of the following: Change management strategies and processes, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, Global Mobility processes and programs
