At IBM, you will use the latest software development tools, techniques and approaches and work with leading minds in the industry to build solutions you can be proud of.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesLocation: Poughkeepsie, NY (with potential short term training in Endicott)Linux kernel developer: The IBM Z KVM and Linux development team is developing the IBM Z specific parts of Linux and the KVM kernel module of the Linux kernel. This is the component that drives many different virtualization stacks from simple virt-manager, over Openstack to all modern cloud infrastructure. The candidate will work on extensions that will enable new use cases that require better architectural compliance for more classic type of workloads. At the same time the candidate will interact with the Linux open source community to integrate the changes into the public Linux repositories.Job Duties:Linux/KVM development and testing work working with worldwide team and open source community.
